Lost Ark's Anguished Isle looks like the kind of place that got stood up at prom and decided to lean hard into the gloom. Tucked right next to Punika's port, this moody island continues Stella's story—yes, the same Stella who served as one of Kakul Saydon's higher-ups and got herself defeated during the main Punika quest line. The island focuses on the women of Punika's militia, including those who fell to the Mayhem Legion's madness and the unlucky survivors left to pick up the pieces. There is no Una's Task tied to Anguished Isle, so nobody gets to clock in and out with a tidy reputation reward. Instead, players get an Island Soul, six Mokoko Seeds, and a daily routine that is equal parts grinding and moody sightseeing.

Where Is Anguished Isle?

Anguished Isle sits in the southern Sea of Procyon, practically hugging Punika's Tideshelf Path port. A player can get there without much fuss, but the surrounding level four Tempest Seas make the trip spicy. Think of it as the ocean equivalent of a passive-aggressive neighbor—perfectly close, but it will still slap you around on the way over. No big deal.

Garden of Despair: One Key, One Shot

The island's dungeon is Garden of Despair, and it is not a walk in the park. It requires a Garden of Despair Key, which is consumed on use. That means every single entry eats another key. The initial quest chain hands over one key, which is nice. After that, the only reliable source is the daily quest 'May They Find Peace.' One day, one key, one attempt. Efficient? Not really. Thematically on point? Absolutely.

Island Soul: Broken Stella's Mood Ring

The Island Soul drops from Broken Stella, the final boss of Garden of Despair. It is a random drop, so players should not expect consistency. On the first day, a player can squeeze in two runs thanks to the initial quest key plus the daily. After that, it is one attempt per day. Broken Stella gives off real 'I will drop it when I feel like it' energy. Buckle up buttercup, because this grind might take a while.

Crimson Skein and the Friendly Neighborhood Vendor

The island currency is Crimson Skein, and the vendor stands right outside the Garden of Despair entrance. She sells Gem Chests, Engraving Chests, and a legendary Overwhelm rune, but many of her wares have Roster Limits. Two notable exceptions are the character-limited Leapstone Chests:

Item Cost Character Limit
Life Leapstone Chest (tier two) 10 Crimson Skeins 50 per character
Honor Leapstone Chest (tier three) 20 Crimson Skeins 50 per character

That is a lot of leapstones if someone has a roster full of alts and too much free time.

Even after grabbing the Island Soul and Omnium Star, the daily grind still pays off. The real prize is the endless supply of rapport gifts. Players can buy the Hollowfruit gift on repeat. Depending on daily Crimson Skein income, a player can snag a Hollowfruit every one to two days. For rapport completionists, that is about as close to a cheat code as Lost Ark gets without actually cheating.

Six Mokoko Seeds: A Treasure Hunt for the Patient

There are six Mokoko Seeds total on Anguished Isle. Three hide in the overworld, and three lurk inside the dungeon. Here is the full rundown:

Seed Location Requirement/Trick
1 Eastern tip Hidden behind shrubbery near rays of light
2 Northern tip, off-map Break down the large wall
3 Northern area, off-map Play Forest's Minuet at the vine-gated archway
4 Dungeon, southern strip, off-map Walk through shrubbery and follow the path
5 Dungeon, before first jumping point Grab it before jumping; no return trip
6 Final boss room, back wall Lure five self-destructing clowns to the wall at 50% boss HP

A quick warning for seed five: once a player jumps across to the second part of the dungeon, there is no going back. If that seed gets missed, it means waiting until the next day for another key, or doing a dramatic death and respawning at the entrance to try again. No pressure.

The sixth seed is the crown jewel of trolling. It is off-map, hidden behind a wall in Broken Stella's room, and a player cannot break it down alone. During the boss fight, at 50 percent health, Broken Stella spawns a small group of clown adds that self-destruct when they get close. To open the path, a player must lure five of those clowns to the hidden entrance and let them blow up the wall. It sounds like a circus act, because it is. Inside, a single monster drops 'A Rusty Necklace,' which starts the quest 'A Lost Belonging.' That quest rewards some silver and 300 Crimson Skeins, but it is a one-time deal, so do not expect a repeat.

All in all, Anguished Isle is a moody little detour with enough daily value to keep players coming back. The Island Soul might be stubborn, but the Crimson Skeins, rapport gifts, and leapstone chests make the grind worth it. Just remember to look both ways before sailing, because those level four Tempest Seas are not joking.
