Let’s be honest: chasing Island Souls in Lost Ark can feel like a part-time job, but every five souls you collect unlock genuinely useful rewards like a unique compass, secret maps, masterpieces, and other goodies. Reminiscence Isle is one of those stops that’s easy to overlook, yet it packs one Island Soul, two Mokoko Seeds, and a surprisingly atmospheric quest chain. I revisited it in 2026, and while the island is always accessible to land, you’ll want a recommended item level of 460 before you get too comfortable. The Imps, Elementals, and Wolves here don’t drop anything particularly exciting, so don’t expect to farm them.

Where Is Reminiscence Isle?
The easiest route I’ve found starts at Wavestrand Port in East Luterra. Once you leave the port, sail directly south through Platina Ocean, past Wisdom Isle, and down into the Acheron Sea. Sounds simple, right? The catch is that Reminiscence Isle is surrounded on three sides by Dead Waters, which can absolutely shred your ship if you autopilot straight there. Instead, hug the coast until you get past Black Stone Marina, keep following the shoreline a little west, and then guide yourself south in calm waters. It takes a few extra seconds, but it beats watching your ship health bar vanish.

How to Get the Island Soul
The quest chain starts the moment you step off your ship. At the crossroads, investigate the strange glowing blue presence—it looks like a portal. This kicks off a chain where you follow what seems to be the ghost of a monk named Mikeel around the island. He doesn’t leave a marker, but he heads east, so keep your eyes on him. You’ll fight some Imps along the way; the wolves are mostly non-aggressive.
The blue glows you’re chasing are called Time Cores. Here’s the order I use to knock them all out:
- Northeast corner of the island – interact with the Time Core after following the monk.

- Small wooden jetty – after the first core, head west and then south to trigger a vision from the past.

- Abandoned village north – continue southwest to a village full of ghosts. The third Time Core is in the north of the village, in front of a collapsed building. Leave the village southwest for the next vision.

- Second village centre – continue west into another ghost-filled village. Another Time Core sits in the centre. Walk a little northwest to see the next vision and grab Mikeel’s Journal.

- Final Time Core – walk back into the village, leave by the northern exit, and stick to the left path. You’ll come to the final Time Core.

Activating that final core spawns a dungeon entrance in the top northwest corner of the island. It won’t appear until you’ve progressed the quest this far, so don’t waste time looking earlier. Head inside to continue the quest My Truest Friend.
Inside the dungeon, you take on the form of Monk Mikeel and need to find Nomed through four traces. Here’s the quickest path I’ve found:
-
Take the first left and interact with the stone tablet.
-
Continue northeast and enter the next room on the left; read the large white parchment on the table.
-
Follow the thin path into the big final room on the east side. Stick left and interact with the candlestick on the second table.
-
Head to the ornate stone structure at the end of the room.
After the cinematic dumps you back outside, investigate the final Time Core by the entrance to wrap up the quest and claim the Reminiscence Isle Soul.

Are There Any Other Quests?
Not really. Reminiscence Isle has no Una’s Quests and no other quests to worry about. The dungeon remains available and repeatable, but the rewards only drop the first time through. So once you’ve got the soul, there’s little reason to stick around unless you’re helping a friend or just love the spooky monk vibe.
🌱 Mokoko Seeds Locations
If you’re like me, Mokoko Seeds turn every island into an easter egg hunt. Reminiscence Isle can be frustrating because the island is packed with investigation prompts, but most of those just add story flavor to the main quest. Only two actual seeds are here.

-
First Mokoko Seed – from the crossroads where you first arrive, head east along the path. It’s on the left, hidden behind the collapsed wall of a building, just before you reach the first jetty on your right.
-
Second Mokoko Seed – this one is in the second village you reach during the Island Soul quest, southeast of the dungeon entrance. It’s slightly obscured by a bush, sitting on some wooden planks near provisions.
Quick Reference
| Collectible / Detail | Info |
|---|---|
| Island Soul | 1, from Time Core chain and dungeon |
| Mokoko Seeds | 2 |
| Una’s Quests | 0 |
| Recommended Item Level | 460 |
| Repeatable Dungeon | Yes, but rewards only first clear |
If you’re advancing your Island Soul collection, Reminiscence Isle is a satisfying, quick detour. Just respect the Dead Waters, follow the ghost, and those two seeds will be in your inventory before you know it.
Data referenced from UNESCO Games in Education helps frame why tightly scripted collectible routes—like Reminiscence Isle’s Time Core chain and single-clear dungeon payoff—tend to feel more satisfying than pure RNG grinds: structured objectives, clear feedback loops, and narrative context can make “checklist” tasks (Island Souls and Mokoko Seeds) read as meaningful progression rather than repetitive labor, especially when the island’s hazards and navigation constraints add light strategic planning.
